Commands and mentions
Use slash commands and @ mentions to steer a run.
Type / or @ in the thread composer and a list of suggestions appears. Use the arrow keys and Enter to pick one.
Slash commands#
A command works when it is a whole word at the start of your message or after a space.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/web-search | Lets the agent research online before it answers. It is limited to a few searches and page fetches per run. |
/code-review | Runs a read-only review of your code. Nothing is changed, and it is stored as a Plan run. |

/web-search How do I register a custom crafting recipe on Paper 1.21?
Then add a recipe for a stone pickaxe that needs one extra gold ingot.Mentioning files#
Type @ followed by part of a path to reference a file, for example @src/main/resources/plugin.yml. The suggestion list shows matching project files. A mentioned file is pointed out to the agent so it looks there first.
Mentions are useful when:
- a change belongs in one specific file,
- you want the agent to match the style of an existing class,
- you are asking about something already in the project.
Mentioning other projects#
@[Project name] refers to another project in the same workspace. This is part of a beta feature with its own consent step. See Working across projects.
Tips#
- Commands and mentions are text. You can combine them with a normal request in the same message.
- Pick from the list rather than typing a path from memory, so the reference is exact.
