Ownership and licensing

Who owns generated code and what you are responsible for.

This page is a plain-language summary. The Terms are the authoritative text.

You own what you make#

As between you and Modloom, you keep ownership of:

  • your prompts, files and attachments,
  • the code Modloom generates for you.

You can use, change and distribute the generated plugin, including commercially, and you can keep it after you stop using Modloom.

Similar output for other people#

AI systems can produce similar output for different users who ask similar things. Modloom does not promise that your generated code is unique.

Third-party libraries#

A generated plugin may depend on libraries such as the Paper API, or other plugins. Those have their own licenses. You are responsible for checking that your use and any redistribution are allowed. Pay particular attention to libraries you shade into your jar.

Responsibility for the result#

You are responsible for reviewing generated code before you run or sell it. A successful build means the code compiled, not that it is correct, safe or free of bugs. Test on a copy of your server first.

Minecraft and trademarks#

Modloom is not an official Minecraft product and is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft. Follow Minecraft's usage rules and the rules of any server network or marketplace where you publish your plugin.
