FAQ

Short answers to common questions.

Do I need to know how to code?#

No. Describe the plugin in plain language and the agent writes the Java. If you do code, you can read and edit every file.

What can I build?#

Server plugins for Paper, Purpur and Spigot: commands, abilities, economies, menus, minigames and server tools. Modloom does not build mods or support other games.

Is it free?#

You can start for free. Every account includes weekly credits and some build minutes. Paid plans add more credits, build time, storage and heavier models. See Plans and limits.

How do I use the plugin I get?#

Download the jar from a successful build, put it in your server's plugins folder and restart. See Installing your plugin.

Will the plugin work exactly as I imagined?#

Not necessarily. A successful build means the code compiles. Test it on a server, then ask for changes. A precise brief helps a lot. See Writing a good brief.

Who owns the code?#

You do. See Ownership and licensing.

Are my projects private?#

Yes. Projects are visible only to your workspace. See Security and privacy.

Which AI model should I use?#

Start with the default, which is fast and low cost. Move to a heavier model only if the result is not good enough. See Models and credits.

Why did my run stop?#

Most often it hit its turn, time or cost budget, or you ran out of credits or build minutes. The thread says which. See Troubleshooting.

Can I edit the code myself?#

Yes. Use the built-in editor, or link a GitHub repository. The next run builds on your edits. See Reading and editing code.

Can my team share a workspace?#

Not yet. Workspaces have a single member for now.

Can I use my plugin commercially?#

Generally yes, as the code is yours. Check the licenses of any libraries you include. See Ownership and licensing.
